Quins give Mombasa Plenty Of points To Think About: Quins 2ndXV Begin Campaign With Win Over Plucky Machine II: Sad Moment For Quins As Former Quin Loses Better Half...

Kenya Harlequins strolled into the coastal town of Mombasa and handsomely beat Mombasa 61-7 in an Enterprise Cup quarter final game. Quins scored a record 11 tries and amazingly could only manage 3 conversions. Namcos Simiyu was the toast of the day as he bagged 5 tries to himself. His brother Victor Sudi was not to be left out as he managed a brace for himself. Other try scorers were Edward Kinyany (2), Martin Likami and Amos Agiro. Quins 'Galacticos' used the second half of the game as a training session for bigger tasks ahead. Mombasa who are attempting to get back into Kenya Cup may think twice about that decision as they need to put in much more effort and meat in order to be top quality.

At the University of Nairobi grounds, the second xv put in a strong effort to see off Mean Machine ll with a 30-17 victory. Tito Oduk making a comeback at the grounds where he made his name was the man of the match. The seconds did it in their usual style of taking a 13-0 lead before switching off the engines and then letting Machine take a 17-13 lead into the second half. This gave the generals who had accompanied the team malaria as the team then woke up to prevent a possible nightmare and win the game 30-17. The seconds now better known as Quins Malaria moved into the quarterfinals of the Mwamba Cup. Their next opponents KCB ll. Good luck lads. Quins Malaria all the way.

This coming weekend sees another big Enterprise game on the cards. A semi-final to relish as Quins take on the defending champions and perennial rivals Impala. Impala booted out KCB 29-7 from the competition and would love to turn the tables against Quins especially as the game is in their backyard. There is definitely no love lost this season between the two sides and this promises to be the top drawer of the drawers. Let's all be the there to depose Impala on their ground. Kick off is at 4:30pm. This is definitely one time for all the Quins faithful to congregate in their large large numbers. Good luck Quins Galacticos. Let it definitely be Sure, Strong and Superior!

On a sad note former Quins and Kenya winger Paul Osimbo lost his beloved wife Julie last Friday. She passed away after a short illness. Julie who comes from the Muniafu family was last with the fraternity 2 weeks ago at the club during the win over Impala. May the Almighty God rest her soul in peace. Contributions to help defray expenses are being collected at the club through John Kagagi and Kate Anampiu. The Lord gives and the Lord takes. Till we meet again Julie, till we meet again
