Harlequin Ladies Youth Academy is Re-launched

The first training session of the new Harlequin Ladies Youth Academy was held this week writes Tanya Wilson. Members of the ladies team were on hand to deliver coaching to the participants, aged 11-17.

Coach Amy Smith was particularly impressed with the standard of rugby shown by the girls, saying ‘It was great to see so many girls down on our first session, and I was overwhelmed by the skill level that the girls already have. We have the makings of a really hard working and enthusiastic team!’. The Academy aims to run both U14 and U17 squads this season, and a number of fixtures have already been arranged.

Harlequin Ladies Youth Academy welcomes all girls aged 11-17 who are keen to play rugby. The Academy trains every Wednesday from 6pm – 7pm at St Mary’s College, Teddington. For more information please contact us at quinsladies@hotmail.com.
