Relegation Roadmap: Round 12

A very satisfying win against Newcastle Falcons - a win with a try bonus - a win playing flowing rugby - a win with a dominant pack - a win not on an international weekend - what a great start to 2007

ROUND 12

Target Final Position: 11th place
Target Points: 40 points
(40pt. target based on Quins winning 7 home games against teams placed 5-11 in GP last season, winning 1 away game against bottom club this season and picking up 8 bonus points)

Predicted Total Points after Falcons: 40
Predicted Finish after Falcons: 11th

Target after Today: remains at eleventh spot because Falcons always was a 5 point banker in Deano’s book.

Quins are going to have to win away at Northampton or do something during the 6N period against Tigers, Wasps or Glaws to make progress up the table. Or rely on Saints, Falcons and Wuzz to continue playing in their own generous way.

New Year’s Day game was excellent and showed the tactical nous and confidence Mehrts brings to the team.

Bit surprising that our DOR could be so negative to the press after the game about the team’s performance - despite the result being Quins biggest home points haul in the prem since we beat Rotherham in April 04 (43-20).
