7pm, Wednesday 18th August in the Members' Clubhouse, LV= Stand, The Stoop Memorial Ground
Quinssa have organised an evening event for all supporters to meet with Conor O’Shea and the players before the new season kicks off. This will probably be your only opportunity this season to meet with the new signings and hear what is expected of them.
Conor will open proceedings with his thoughts on the season ahead and Chris Robshaw will tell us about his new responsibilities as captain. This will be followed by a Q&A session, so come prepared with that question you’re itching to ask. As usual we will hold a raffle in aid of the Academy.
Doors open at 6.30pm in the Members’ Bar and the event starts at 7pm. Entry is free to members of Quinssa and only £3 for non-members. Join on the night for only £5 and get in free to this and most of the other annual Quinssa events during the season, as well as receiving regular mailers, advice on away travel, coaches and other benefits.
We need to know how many to expect on the night so please advise your likely attendance to steve@quinssa.org.uk and include any questions you’d like raised on your behalf.
If you have already emailed Steve to advise your attendance then you do not need to do so again..

I would have to say (and I'll not say this in person!) that his hair looks decidedly better than Joe Marler's. I know Joe's young, but he really is old enough to know better...
It will be half an hour of hearing from the DOR and captain. They'll introduce the new signings and the an hour or so of Q&A's. Finally there will be time to mix with the players.
I'm planning to be there with Yeti Jnr. This time, don't ignore me Nicksb! You run the risk of your donuts being beaten into jammy pancakes with my trusy stick! Hah!

I had to bake last night (long story, will bore you with it later!).
The upshot is I have chocolate chip cookies, chocolate & apricot cookies and millionaires shortbread with me. Come find me if you want some (I'll be the one with the 2 big cake tins!), but the condition of sampling anything is an honest opinion!
DC was there so I couldn't berate him as you requested. I did, however, manage to feed into Chris Robshaw your suggestion for Joe Marler's new nickname, "Rodney". I ask whether he was aware of this nickname. "Well if he isn't he certainly will be at the next training session"! Job done, mate!

I don't know how you missed me! I had two giant cake tins with me! Still, if it helps, there will be another round of baking on Saturday, so look out for me then. I'll have another cake tin then...
Deadly - this was arrange by Quinssa, not the club. I don't think anything has replaced the BBQ, it's just not there anymore!
I'd like to echo Prof as well, thanks to the guys for giving up their evenings and for answering our questions and if they play half as well as they sounded, we're going to have a good season.
Prof was taking copious notes, so I'm sure he's typing them up into a coherent report as I write this!
My personal highlight was the announcement by Conor, that with teh exception of 1 game, the A games are going to be at the Stoop this year and that one game is due to a build-up of fixtures at the stoop.
I was a little disappointed that when asked to describe themselves in 3 words, not one said 'a Harlequin'. Sad !!!
Where will you be on Saturday claire_m ? That 'wicked' Connor monstered the last of your fantastic millionaire's shortbread before I could get a hand on it ! ~ but the choc chip cookie was superb (as always). Thank you for all your lovely cakes on match days.
