An Evening with Sir Ian McGeechan in The Members' Clubhouse at The Stoop 29th October 2010.The Bar will open at 6.00pm with the evening starting at 6.30pm

Sir Ian McGeechan has had a playing and coaching career in Rugby spanning some 40 years at the highest levels. His playing career included 32 caps for Scotland with 9 as captain and 8 caps for the British Lions on the 1974 & 1977 Tours.
His coaching career has seen him lead both International and Club sides to success, including Scotland, The British Lions, also Northampton, Wasps, Gloucester, now Bath.

During the evening there will be a presentation from www.rugbycoachingdrills.com
The latest high tech rugby coaching resource tool, that provides a unique delivery of coaching and fitness drills with 400 3D animations created by leading coaches, tailored coaching and development programmes for individual clubs, teams, academies and players and services to all levels of rugby communities from local junior to national elite.

In addition, Andrew Scoular, Community Rugby Director RFU, will talk on Community Rugby

The entry fee for the evening is just £10.00, with all proceeds being split between Wooden Spoon, the Children’s charity of rugby and The Chara Foundation, raising money for Armed Forces Charities.

Not me. How on earth do they expect people to get to the Stoop for 6.30pm on a Friday night.
