I watched a program on the telly last night called Rip off Britain.Perhaps this thread can be renamed "rip off Stoop".

Lets look at the facts

Tickets ONLY £10, but you do get a pint and a pie for this .

Most pubs in twickenham wil be showing this match on equally good big screen televisions.i wonder if a pie and a pint cost £10 in these establishments? i very much doubt it .A pint on average costs about £3.50 these days.A pie is about £4.00.So just exactly what is the £2.50 extra going towards.Dont tell me ,electricity,staff etc etc .No these costs are incorporated in the costs of the drinks/pies in the frst place.I think this is a slap in the face to those hardly quins supporters who support the club week in week out

Lastly what is the deal for the non drinking vegetarians?

I for one will not be supporting this "deal"

mate ,if it was free entry , and MY decision whether i wanted a pie or not then i might have turned up with few mates.But sadly £50 for 5 of us to get into a "pub" where i can queue up for a soggy pie is quite frankly off the radar..Patch it is for us

look at the facts...it's £2.50 difference, If you'd rather watch it elsewhere then go ahead.

Can't see the point of posting a rant about the price though.

It doesn't say the pint has to be alcoholic or the pie is a meat pie

How much of a rip off can it be if they tell you up front what you're getting and what the price for that is? You get to make the choice whether you go or not. I really don't see what the problem is.

You buy a pie and a pint from Tescos, sit at home watching it on sky it will cost you a certain amount. You go out to a pub and buy a pie and a pint it will cost you a certain amount plus. Now you just have to decide whether going to Stoop and getting a pie and a pint is worth a tenner.

Why would you want to put money in your own Club's coffers? Surely it's preferable to put the money in the pocket of a local landlord unconnected with your Club?

Not.

The game's afoot;
Follow your spirit: and upon this charge,
Cry — God for Harry! England and Saint George

You're not suggesting that the club should try and make a profit I trust, deadly?
