This will be Leicester’s eight consecutive appearance in the Premiership final as they aim to win a record 10 titles.

The Tigers had the best discipline in Aviva Premiership Rugby this season, they were the only side to concede under 10 penalties and free-kicks per game (9.9).

Harlequins were forced to make fewer tackles per game (80.8) than any other Aviva Premiership Rugby side in 2011/12, however they also had the poorest completion rate (88.4%).

Leicester won a competition high 88.5% of scrums on their own feed in 2011/12.

Harlequins and England full-back Mike Brown made more metres with the ball in hand (1,448) than any other player in this campaign.

Thomas ‘the Tank Engine’ Waldrom made more than 50 more carries than any other player this season (304).

Harlequins are looking to become the third different side to finish top of the table and win the Aviva Premiership Rugby play-offs (Leicester – 2001, 2009, 2010, Sale – 2006).

Leicester have scored 34 first half tries this season, this is more than four Aviva Premiership Rugby sides managed in total and only one fewer than their semi-final opponents Saracens managed overall.


Of players to have attempted over 50 kicks at goal this season Owen Farrell had the best success rate (80%).

Exeter’s Matt Jess was the only player in Aviva Premiership Rugby to play every minute of every game this season (1,760).

Worcester Warriors and Newcastle Falcons were the only two sides that failed to record a try bonus point this season.

Saracens were the only side in the league that were forced to make over 100 tackles per game in Aviva Premiership Rugby this season (111).

London Irish were the top tacklers in 2011/12, completing 92% of their hits, the best rate in the league.

Northampton Saints made more metres with the ball in hand than any other team in Aviva Premiership Rugby in this campaign, 8,625m in total.

Saracens had the most successful lineout unit in Aviva Premiership Rugby this season, winning 89.9% of ball on their own throw.

Sale’s Kearnan Myall stole more opposition lineouts than any other player this season (11).

Despite making just 14 appearances in Aviva Premiership Rugby this season, Andy Powell made more offloads (37) than anyone else.

Dylan Hartley had the best lineout throwing accuracy rate (93%) of any hooker to make over 50 throws this season.

Well with 2 premiership medals, Staunton is undeniably the best 10 of the professional era in England!

The one that got me was that Andy Powell is top on offloads, he always used to go trundling off, get isolated and get into trouble
