Marcus Smith led the way with a personal tally of 24 points as we hammered hapless Saints on their own ground 49-29.  It has to be said that the hosts are going through a terrible patch- from which they will emerge - but that should not detract from the fact that we scored six tries on a ground where we had not won for eight years.

It was the perfect riposte to last week's defeat by the Chiefs where we could only manage three points.

This week Smith had his boots and brain in gear as he ran the show - setting up two delightful tries thanks to his deft kicks and finishing the try scoring himself.

Danny Care and Nathan Earle started the ball rolling  followed by Mike Brown, Alex Dombrandt and Scott Steele.

Saints did manage a bonus point thanks to  tries from Nick Isiekwe, Rory Hutchinson and two from Lewis Ludlam, but the overall result was never in doubt.
