The crucial moments  went  against Quins - and when you take on Munster at Thomond Park you want the luck to be with you. The hosts took the game 21-7 on a windy day where both sides served up an entertaining game.

We suffered from missing a couple of penalties which Marcus would normallyhave slotted, and had three sin-bins during the game. They were to our back rows - James Chisholm, Will Evans and Alex Dombrandt, while  Munster prop Stephen Archer also took an enforced rest.

Playing with 14 men  for almost half the game proved too much with JJ Hanrahan kicking two penalties to give Munster the lead at teh break followed by another after  the restart.

Cadan Murley responded for Quins with a superb finish in the corner. How he wriggled out of two tackles close to the flag is still a mystery, but he ignited our hopes only for  replacement fly-half Ben Healy - an interesting character who took a bit of punishment - to extend Munster's lead with a 55-metre penalty.

The crucial play came when a Quins attack was broken up in the home 22 - lLock Tadhg Beirne used the elements to send a clearance kick 60 metres. Under pressure Mike Brown sliced his clearance and from the line-out Danny Care clearly blocked off Keith Earls as he looked to take a kick into the corner.

Munster went for the line-out and were awarded a penalty try when they went for the line with Evans off to the bin.

It was a crucial passge of play from which we never recovered with flanker Gavin Coombes speeding over to seal the win.

Racing '92 arrive next Sunday for a 1.00. A more clinical performance is required.
