If errors make for an entertaining open game then this was a good example - problem is we lost 27-19.

Not much sign of the dreaded caterpillar in this game as both sets of players looked to run the ball at every opportunity.

We managed three  Marcus Smith penalties in the first half with Bristol responding hrough a Dan Thomas try.

After the break Steve Luatua cashed over to put Bears 12-9 up. They went furrther ahead through  scrum half Harry Randall darted over with Niyi Adeolokun getting the bonus point.

Marcus Smith had a Christmas consolation  try to finish the scoring.
