Matson Is The Man

Tabai Matson will have a task ahead of him in improvingon recent results at Quins. The former All Black centre will be the senior coach of the club after finishing a stint with the All Blacks Under 20s.

The 48 year old will lead the coaching team which has been under the very capable watch of Billy Millard after Paul Gustard left at the beginning of 2021.

Matson has coached at Bath as well as the Chiefs and Crusaders in NZ. He's quoted as saying: "I'm not coming to reinvent the wheel.

""This is a special team with some fantastic people and a great history. I'm incredibly excited to add to what this talented coaching team already has and keep pushing this side to new heights.

"I know we are united in the belief that this is only the beginning for Harlequins. I strongly believe that staying true to our identity - the Quins DNA is critical to how we will reach our goals."
