Up And Running

It was tight but Quins fully deserved their opening 20-18 win at Castres despite an extremely tense final couple of minutes.
Casteres were unbeaten at home and started well when Filipo Nakosi evaded several defenders to send in Josaia Raisuqe for a simple run in.
The conversion was missed and we went ahead through a superb bit of skill from Danny Care. He flicked the ball into the hands of Louis Lynagh who went in at the corner to give us a 7-5 lead.
Two pens gave the home side a half-time advantage berfore Alex Dombrandt burst through for Quins' second try.
Marcus Smith added a penalty to that conversion to give us a comfortable 9 point lead. It wasn't to stay comfy for long as Castres hit back immediately with Laveau bursting through under the posts.
Two minutes to go and Castres had the ball. They mauled on the 22 and everyone was expecting a drop goal. To our relief they messed up - sealing off at the breakdown.
Phew.
