Quins Take The Points

A great start and a fantastic end saw Quins earn a valuable five points in a thrilling 38-29 win at Ashton Gate.

It couldn't have started any better for Quins with Dan Murley going over twice in the first five minutes. That annoyed Bristol who came back through Steven Luatua and Sam Jeffries. In this dramatic game both were injured while scoring and played no further part.

Nip and tuck with Tom Lawday restoring Quins' advantage only for Dave Attwood to go between the posts.

The first half wasn't over. Hugh Tizard just managed to hold onto the ball to get a bonus point followed by a sin-bin for Danny Care.

26-19 at half-time.

Bristol spent the break planning how to make the most of their temporary one man advantage and promptly drew level courtesy of a Bryan Byrne try.

Kicker Sheedy slotted a penalty to put Bristol ahead for the first time, but hey then lost Harding to the bin. Jack Walker (above)took the opportunity to put Quins back in front from a maul .

It was as breathless as it sounds,  and Quins supporters did hold their breath when Jake Heenan went over but Semi Radrada had been in touch. 

It was close, but victory was  finally sealed with a late try for replacement Luke Northmore. 

It leaves Quins one point behind second-placed Saracens in third..
