What a game! Last season it was Quins who often stole the points with a late late show. This season the boot appears to be on the other foot as Exeter scored a controversial last ditch try to foil an unlikely comeback and win 43-42.

Exeter had gone into a 31-7 lead courtesy of tries from Harry Williams, Stuart Townsend, Tshiunza and Harvey Skinner only for Quins to mount a tremendous comeback to take the lead.

Cadan Murley got one  for Quins before Skinner seized on a dropped ball  from Lennox Anyanwu to race to the line.

The second half was a different ball game. Tyrone Green and Murley combining  to score two tries in as many minutes.

The game then went to uncontested scrums after Quins' Jack Walker and his replacement George Head were  both injured, The response was to send Luke Northmore in for two tries which gave his side the lead.

Back came Exeter who regained their advantage through replacement Pat Schickerling who powered over. Quins' turn next after Exeter's Ian Whitten was sin-binned for slowing the ball down as Murley looked likely to score his third.

Undaunted  Joe Marchant collected a kick from Marcus Smith to put his side 42-38 up.

Cue the late drama. With the very last play flanker Tshiunza went over in the corner but it looked like Stuart Hogg had delivered a forward pass. The TMO said it  wasn't clear leaving referee Ian Tempest to stick to his original decision.

Phew.
