A Win Is Needed

Five straight defeats is difficult to swallow but Tabai Matson says all is not lost as his side managed to come away from Kingsholm with two bonus points in the 28-22 defeat. 

He told the media: "They deserved the win, but we walk away with two points, which I think are going to be critical at the end of the day. 

"We scored four tries here, and they are one of the best defensive sides in the league. With 10 minutes to go, we had it in our sights, so there are lots of positives.

"It is great when the league table changes every weekend. It will definitely come down to the last weekend, and those two points could be very valuable.

"We are running out of runway. We have got six games to go, and now they become must-wins."

It was an entertaining game which could have gone either way. James Chisholm went to the bin after just five minutes as Gloucester's Seb Blake and  Tom Lawday scored before Ollie Thorley gave Gloucester the lead at the interval.

Danny Care celebrated his record breaking appearance by grabbing Gloucs ball in their own 22 and some slick passing through more than ten phases saw Cadan Murley go in at the corner.

However, tries from Santiago Carreras and Louis Rees-Zammit put the home side in the lead before Matas Jurevicius crossed in the closing minutes for a try which earned those two bonus points.

There's yet another break before Chiefs come calling on Saturday March 4th. A must win
