With only minutes left of the encounter at Kinsgholm Quins thought they had sealed the game and the bonus point as Luke Northmore broke away to score a try which would have taken the score to an unassailable 34-25. The TMO had other ideas.

Instead they ruled that Jarrod Evans had been guilt of a high tackle, The try was chalked off and so was the rest of Jarrod's game.

To add insult to injury Gloucester kicked the penalty to the corner - the catch and drive eventually saw them cross for a 29-28 victory which was a bitter pill to swallow for Quins coach Billy Millard.

However, he put a brave face on things when talking to the media: "Im really proud of the performance we were really good in the first half, but after that we were a bit ropey.

"There were some big decisions and calls in that final period but I can't really comment on some of them as I'd already left the box.

"We'd got back in the game and were on course to win it so it's a weird feeling right now. "

In that first half Quins scored through  Alex Dombrandt, Will Evans and Luke Northmore only for Gloucester to come back in the second half.
