Last Ditch Win

Jarrod Evans kept his nerve to slot last ditch penalty from just inside the home half  to give Quins a valuable 23-21 win at Bristol. It moved Quins up to fourth in table just one point behind their hosts and with Falcons due to visit The Stoop next week. .

Quins had been in the lead 20-11, with a brace from George Hammond and successful kikcs from Evans,  before Bristol came back with hooker Harry Thacker crossing. ACallum Sheedy penalty putting them one point ahdead as the clock kicked down.

However, it was a high tackle from Jake Heenan which gave Evans that penalty shot from long range to break some Bristol hearts.

Assistant coach Danny Wilson told the media: "We started brightly, then the weather changed and we immediately gave away five penalties in that second quarter.

"There was a clear momentum change. But unlike previous weeks we came out of the traps quickly in the second half to get a try and then stay in the match."
