Another epic Premiership game as Bath shaded the game 25-17 to send Quins down to sixth place as the hosts went top. However they are only six points behind the leaders.

Marcus Smith had a last ditch conversion to earn a bonus point only to see his effort hit the post. It was a point Quins would have deserved for playing their part in a highly entertaining game.

The fun started almost from the kick off with Joe Cokanasiga crossing closely followed by Smith at the other end with both cons missed in the rain and wind.

Max Ojomoh crossed the line for Bath before the break only for referee Luke Pearce chalk it offb -instead awarding the home side a penalty which they kicked. Quin's delight at only concededing three points tempered by the yellow card awarded to Danny Care .

Bath got their try bonus poiint in the second half as Elliott Stooke, Cokanasiga and Miles Reid all scorfredd tries with  Jack Walker getting one baxck before  a late  effort from James Chisholm set up that missed conversion.

Coach Billy Millard told the media: ""The kicking game in that weather was always going to be a big part of it and they did it very well. Because of that, we had to work really hard.

"When we had those big wins against Sale and Racing we didn't get too high and when you drop a game you can't get too low. The next fortnight is going to be important in keeping our position among the leading contenders."
