Quins Beat Exeter Hoodoo

Sandy Park has never been a happy hunting ground for Quins. The last victory on Devon soil was ten years ago but that was all forgotten as they triumphed 36-19 to move up to fifth in the Gallagher Premiership.

Admittedly they came across a Chiefs side which is struggling - this was their sixth defeat in a row. But most people expected a very positive reaction from the home side after the defeat at Falcons last week.

Will Evans led the way with two tries as Quins, without their England contingent,  started well with a try from Oscar Beard. Chiefs replied with a try from Ross Vincent only for Rodrigo Isgro to restore the lead three minutes later.

Will Evans' firsy try came after a great break from  Lennox Anyanwu.

Will Rigg kept Chiefs in the game as he got his debut try, and it was anybody's game at half time with the score 19-14 in Quins' favour.

Both teams thought they had scored early in the second half only to have them chalked off,  but there was no doubt about Evans' second try to extended Quins' lead.

Ben Hammersley crossed for Chiefs before a Jarrod Evans penalty extended the gap to 10 points. The game frinally sealed by Cadan Murley's try as he chased down a clever touchline kick from Danny Care.
