Second Team To Continue Unbeaten Run

After the excitements of last Saturday’s demolition of Northampton, a feat which the 2nd XV has already performed twice over the Saints’ team this season, I expect them to continue their unbeaten, high scoring progress in the match against Cambridge University Blues at The Stoop 11th November 19.30

In their last two outings the 2nd team have run in twelve tries and in the equivalent fixture last season overcame the Blues by 43 – 20 with a hat-trick from Tom Williams who showed his abilities with a similar feat against Saints last month. For those supporters who brave the cold, I expect them to see an entertaining and fast running game between two keen sides. There is the opportunity to see the high quality of the Harlequin reserves and Academy players.

The Blues also have some experienced young players, many of whom have experience of rugby at U-21 national level as well as playing for a variety of senior outfits. A number are Blues who played in the Varsity Match last year.
