Kenya Harlequins Update 12/5/2006

Our second team recorded a very convincing win last Saturday where they beat Mwamba 29-12 to move into 3rd position of their Eric Shirley Shield Pool A section. Cyrus the Virus led his boys in true Quins fashion and they enjoyed every moment of that victory.

The firsts had a break. Man of the Match for the seconds was Adrian Ramogo son of former Quin player now among the seniors Stan Ramogo.

This weekend sees both teams in action with the firsts meeting traditional (bitter) rivals Impala at the Impala ground (4pm), while the seconds will be away in Nakuru for a tricky fixture against Nakuru RFC. This promises to be an action packed weekend.

With the national team in Kampala playing Uganda and the sevens players ineligible to play, Quins have had to dig deep and put out the following side to face Impala:

As we build up to Safari 7's , Ken Thimba has been appointed coach of the Veterans. The vets meets Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays for training. Please let all over 35's be there. The ladies train on the same days as well.

Next Friday 19th May will see a Quiz nite at the club. It will be a Quinday Quiznite so lets all bring in the numbers. As usual for those not named in any team this weekend, tonight is Quinday at the club. See you at the club this weekend and Good Luck to the lads.
