Personally, I would have put Burrell at 13, the revolving door centre partnership worries. Save for that, I am delighted to see the internationals starting especially Dylan. That is as strong as it gets for us. Maximum attack from kick off.

Throwing the kitchen sink at this, no suprise as basically its sh** or bust. Actually being 5th or 6th after the international round was a typical secnario for the club in the erly 2000's.
Louis played flat out for France so I'm almost surprised to see him play but Im sure he put his hand up. Woody had bench duties so should be good, and Big George knows he's under the microscope for the lions tour. A little bit surprised to see dylan there to be honest but I would say that its payback time to the club for him.
So lots of motivation around!

Be interesting to see if Dylan has a tan from his time in Dubai

Probably the best team we could put out... I like the centre patnership. Burrell will get 20 mins at the end you would have thought

Stopping Ben Youngs and Burns will be critical

I hope this post doesn't come back to bite me - but anyone know the odds for Dylan getting sent off?

That pack is absolutely brutal.
Agree re centres, would have liked to see Burrell but hopefully Harry and Nafi have been working on their defensive intensity for the last 3 weeks solid.

Mermoz could have a field day if we haven't sorted the centre defence
On the plus side - they've dropped Thacker completely and are starting Tom Youngs - plus Dom Barrow and Graham Kitchener at lock.. we should get some mileage there

I assume Harry covers 10 and Calum covers lock.

Possible replacements...
Presumably Harry will do 10 if needed, and Clark or Gibson second row.
*I could agree with you - but then we'd both be wrong...*

T Youngs will get binned at some point surely for sacking a maul.

Hopefully north has been well fed before the game. We don't need him having to stop and have nibble on his other arm*

Agreed but playing back rowers out of position and playing Mallinder at 10 have both been spectacular failures in the past !

A fine idea, only took me 3 attempts to get the story up and merge it with the original thread!

Hmmm. For my money Barrow was the best player on the pitch last time the two teams met. Very physical and in our faces.
Hoping for a cracker tomorrow in any case!

Thats a strong looking squad with the internationals returning. I think we could just have the edge over Tigs up front tomorrow. So long as our midfield defence is relatively solid I think we will win. COYS!!!

Its a match where we need all the experience we can muster so glad to see all the internationals back in. Good to see all the positive comments re Luther on this thread after the stick he was getting when he was last playing! I think Mallinder starting and him on the bench is more of an indication of how we want to play from the start; whether it works is another matter.
I'm glad Jim has shown faith in Harry and Nafi to carry on the improvements they have made but also share the concerns of some regarding the potential defensive weaknesses. It is also possible that a fit and firing Luther could burst through tiring defences late on and he can of course cover both 12 and 13.

Luther is a good player if when he tries to catch the ball it sticks. To me it's about his reception of the ball and his distribution. If he gets these right his confidence increases. If he's on his top game he's a fine player. Unfortunately we've seen the "other" Luther a fair bit in the last season or so. Let's hope we see him on top form against Tigs.

This is the big occasion and rightly the time for the big boys to deliver for the club .
However , as i usually do - to prepare myself for games against Tigers I watched again that semi final.
Our job as supporters to re create if not surpass the atmosphere and passion from that famous night .
Who the hell are Leicester Tigers ?

This is Tigers! This is the Big Game* Let's get tore into them from the start and push for the Top Four. We can do it. Believe!

Yes a big shift from us in the stands is needed too. We need to be calling for all the marginal decisions tomorrow.

It's a big game because we have to win it to stay in playoff contention. For me that's more important by far than the opposition.

Controversial back row choices. Bloke who's leaving for sarries preferred over our best 7 (tei) and Gibson probably our form back row last few games

It's an odd thing to admit, but I'm going to miss Cockers... a bit; a very little bit.
I'm going to miss his little glum face as he watches us win.
Oh well, dumping Mauger out of the premiership with an L will have to do.
Although I to wish him well.

But the opposition are also the team just ahead of us in the table! Bring on the Thai girls
Church's Stand, Block R, at the back noisily making lots of noise

Having watched last weekend's A-W game, Tigers were particularly impressive with a weakened team. Going to be tough where Myler's goal kicking may have to be the difference.
Let's not start the Luther debate again, simply, he has the brain of a winger whilst playing in the centre.
