All the discussion around it and Furbank is 15, Grayson 10!
Likewise Proctor on the wing again although maybe short term given we've got a few back three still out.
However two second rows starting and another on the bench so tick there. Great to have ribeye back.
Interesting to see Augustus start on the bench but I think he's played pretty much all of the two pre-season games so perhaps earmarked for impact off the bench.
Shame it isn't on TV to be able to watch but here's hoping for a good first hit out.

Still a long list of players out - accepting Biggar and Lawes are on post-Lions rest, a couple are just arrived and hopefully quite a few not far away in terms of recovery.

Gloucester supporters on The Shed Web are not confident and questioning some of the selections.

.
I was hoping for Augustus starting plus Litchfield at least on bench

Yup. We've shedloads of injuries, three on international duties, and two rested after Lions tour. And our front five is far from our best selection. Travelling up there in hope more than expectation....

Ben Morgan in the second row? Wasn't he always a no.8?

Disappointed with that selection initially until you read the quite extensive ‘not available’ list. It’s forced some selection choices, Freeman means Furbs at 15 and therefore James G at 10. No Sleights, Big T or Skosan so Proctor once again forced outside and Dingers at Centre. No Matevesi worries me with our lineout. I’d really like to have seen a back row of Ludlam, Harrison & Augustus, hopefully soon. Good to see Ribbans back.

Not having Sam at 2 is probably our biggest dilemma

I think Sam’s absence was won Woody the shirt as he offers more of a line out presence with Juarno offering more as an impact finisher. In fact him Hilly and Api coming on looks quite tasty I think

Fish's throws have been iffy in preseason and hopefully these have been worked on but Gloucester's pack seems depleted with some playing out of position, young players or players that don't appear to have played a competitive game in quite a while.
Coles being listed at 23 seems odd to me. If we were going for a 6-2 split, wouldn't he be listed higher up? Is it possible that this is an error that might be corrected on the day?
As long as we can close down 36 and marshall May we should be ok. Atkinson was one of their best players so it's a help that he's not playing. Augustus vs Ackerman will be interesting. Ackerman was always someone that I thought could do a job for us.
Is the try line drop out and 50-22 rule being applied this season? I think the way we try to play may help us capitalise on this.
On a side note, we're probably not being shown on the telly so the commentators don't have to trip over themselves with the 2 captains.*

Given the number of absentees I really like the look of that side. We've got good depth with younger players having gained invaluable game time so the loss of starters doesn't feel such a worry. Though with Fish throwing I'm relieved with Wood at 6!
Gloucester have absences too but I raised an eyebrow at Morgan starting in the 2nd row and leaving Hastings and Ackermann on the bench.
Fingers crossed we can get a convincing win to get the momentum going. COYS!!!!

Coles did so well in pre-season fitness training he's been demoted/promoted to a back (select depending on where you play/used to play!).

I'm also hoping Captain Ludlum plays a blinder against his England competition Ludlow. Good luck Cap!

Slightly underwhelmed if I'm honest, but our unavailable list quite extensive in fairness.
Think we'll miss Sam at 2.

We have enough to win if we play our best, and that’s all we can ask

Anyone know what’s wrong with Sam M? He had a sore wrist at Bedford. Played against Ospreys and didn’t appear injured when he went off. Triaining injury?

The positive angle is that some of these squad players have a chance to grab hold of the starting jersey. It’s up to them to show what they can do.

Has Haywood been injured or overlooked in the pre-season games? (If he did play, I completely missed it).
