Looks like we're banking on Biggar being fit to face Falcons with James Grays on playing at 10.

Although there are a lot of youngsters picked, our strength in depth really is getting better and better.

Then again, George did OK on Sunday?

Furbank did very well at 10 I thought and we know that Freeman is more than capable at fullback (that still being his primary position or is that up for debate now?). However if he were to start there we would need bench cover surely - Hutch could probably cover in a pinch (he was goalkicking late on) but you always have to bear in mind the eventuality of an injury five minutes in.

Fingers crossed Biggs is back, he clearly didn't want to go off and has been very vocal about his commitment to the club and desire to play as many more games as he can.

I’d be amazed if Biggar was unavailable, I think it was a bit of a dead leg but not a serious one.
A strong looking side for us. I don’t recognise many names on the Quins team sheet. Nice to see the lads back from Bedford getting a run out too.

After the game Dan had strapping on his left knee. He was walking round the pitch though

I didn't realise Furbank was struggling at the end, hope he's not too badly banged up either, I think he's had a strong start to the season so far. He's looking confident at the back and slotted in well at 10 too. It must help having Freeman on the wing who played mainly at fullback as well as Skosan who looks very competent in the air.

Is Matthew Arden injured? He played 10 for some of the Bedford friendly and looked pretty good.

Matt Arden was on the ‘not considered’ list for the Wasps game so likely he’s injured still.

42-19 at half time. Crazy game.

I don’t think anyone has, the Worcester situation has made it even more difficult to figure out!

Worcester possibly simplifies it as they were in the pool of 5. So the three pools are now 4 teams each.
I've only just noticed that the pools appear to be regional.

He came off at 25 mins when we scored the 4th try (and bonus point). He looked class while he was on. No doubt will be on the bench at least on Saturday and maybe even start with Dan on bench as a bit of rotation.

Qualifying is made simpler as Worcester have now been deleted from the tables. However, the lottery comes when you have the cross-league game and may have a high-flying team as opposed to a team with few points.
Looks like Irish have the best chance from or group unless they slip up. The game we lost to Irish when we should have won may cost us.

I think I might be right in saying if they cancel the cross pool games that sorts the problem, Pool B play Pool C but Pool A don't do anything because they have 5. So it makes logical sense to remove those fixtures, but then you've got a bit of an issue from the effected clubs point of view as they get one less game to play the fringe players, but then it's less of an expense to the clubs, I wouldn't be surprised if some of them are making a loss on the matches. Looking at the fixture list the cross pool matches have times blanked out or TBC marked on them.

So, if and it's a big if, they can those games, then the group stage would be over for us, I assume it's top of each group goes through and then the next best runner up across the three pools. So worst case scenario from our group, Irish don't slip up and finish top, we end on 12 points. Only Sale and Tigers can top Group B with second place taking a max 11 points, so best runner up isn't coming from that group.

Pool A have only played one match, Gloucester and Chiefs both have 5 points (BBC website hasn't been updated to not include the Worcester match but the premiership rugby one has) so I think worst case scenario that group will finish on the leader having 15 and second place having 12, not sure how they figure out who goes through then I'm assuming it will be points difference as number of wins will be the same.

Ted look on the Prem site and now each league has only 4 in it but each team play 4 games Our cross pool game is against Newcastle

It's the cross pool games that I think need to be cancelled, they were only required because Pool A had 5 teams in it so pools B and C needed an extra match, Pool A already had 4 games, Pool A now goes down to 3 games, so it makes no sense to have the additional cross pool matches anymore because pool A teams only get 3?

There in lies one of the problems, but then the same can be said for any other of the Worcester fixtures up to a point.

The other alternates I can see are, keep the cross pool games as they are then Pool A play a reverse of one of the other fixtures that they have already played, re arrange the cross pool fixtures so all the teams now play a team from another pool or have a quarter final stage where they take the top two from each group and the two best third place teams, but that would still leave a couple of matches short.

The more I think about it I think the best answer is to have the cross pool games re-arranged so the matches still go ahead but will be against different opposition, keep the home teams as they were, for pools B and C and whoever lost a home game to Worcester can also get a home fixture so just swap round the away teams.

I think.

Grayson got a stinger in his right arm tacking their No.8 I think so it’s hard to know whether he was pulled or not!

I’ve just looked at the highlights which are inconclusive. But from my seat last night the cross field kick for Quins first try was heading beyond the dead ball line, I was staggered when the ref called try and I’m convinced that the wicked bounce can only have been the result of it hitting the foam barrier just beyond the line and bouncing back. Did anyone else think the same? Also the scorer of Quins fourth try clearly lost the ball in the act of scoring too but hey ho, a win is a win and it was a good one too!

Ah, well that’s ok then !!!! The look on George’s face and his body language convinced me it had to be a refereeing mistake.

Prem cup has just become a whole lot more complicated?
