The match sharpness vs injury dilemma. Alex Waller, Ludlam, Lawes, Dingwall and Furbank all not selected and not unavailable. Their leadership and ability is too valuable to risk presumably. Good call, though I do wonder if Fin Smith should also be wrapped in cotton wool…

Risk of injury v match fitness is a tough one. But I suspect most DoRs would do the same to avoid us being undercooked for the semi v Sarries given the amount of time in between.

I’d really prefer Europe after the end of the Premiership. Far fewer teams disrupted.

I know it's as in the thread title an exhinbition match, but ihmo it's good to see Tommy Freeman starting in the centre - it could be a good move. Ok 13 this time but punching holes at 12 somtime?

Is it good news that Courtney is not playing, if he were leaving I am sure they would give him a FG swan song.

I think we will see a totally different team second half.

That's quite a few replacements - good job Leicester aren't still the ABC Club as they would have to start using AA etc.

The match will be streamed on YouTube search Saints Tv there is a link at the top of the message board.

I can’t change the main post as that involves logging on to my laptop and I don’t intend on doing that till Tuesday.

Quite like that it’s such a strong lineup (minus a couple of notable rested guys) Three weeks without a match going in to the semi, we’d be asleep until the last ten minutes

Hat tip to whoever works the cameras at Saints TV. Surprisingly good quality video. Good watch too - something for everyone.

The coverage was great indeed. Watched the replay this afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm glad they included coverage of the ceremony at the end. Was nice to watch.

Good coverage. Really unfair first question to Ribbans during his leaving presentation; "What does Toulon have to offer that Northampton doesn't?" Blimey!!

Nice and easy really.

The Med
The climate.
The countryside

And that's just for starters!

Yes Longers, I think there is one other important one missing from your list.

Seems a long time now since we had our trip to Toulon and hammered them on their own patch. Good weekend that one……..!

They've had a quiet (for them) period since they won the Top 14, but seem to be rebuilding nicely.

It would be an interesting match today?

I think Graham was being a "little" ironic.
However, what Toulouse doesn't have; is a town that is littered with rats, drink tins and fast food detritus and drug paraphernalia , homeless people in every doorway, locals that have long since abandoned the wasteland, town/road planning designed by a chimpanzee, massive distribution sheds blighting the once beautiful countryside, more traffic wardens than shoppers, bordered up shops, a market square with no market, council officials diverting millions of tax payers money into millionaires tax havens, potholes that cavers would happily explore, a first world war field hospital.
Mind you, I bet Toulouse doesn't have a world class council building!

Easy mistake to make, but he's going to Toulon, not Toulouse.

Toulon is 500kms/5 hours east of Toulouse

The rest is not far off the reality...

I'm sure it was in jest, but Ribbans was visibly uncomfortable/unimpressed in equal measure.

Can't disagree with the rest of your assessment, I know where I'd be going.
