Owls chairman Dave Allen has recieved the fans backing after recieving 77 per cent of votes in a poll carried out on Wednesday Wonderland.
The poll asked fans to decide whether Mr Allen was the right man to take the club forward.
Allen joined the club in the summer of 2000 as a board member, before taking over as chairman in June 2003. Since then, the Owls suffered relegation to league one, but regained it's position in the Championship after a successful 2004-2005 campaign in which he appointed Paul Sturrock as manager following the sacking of Chris Turner.
Allen has been under the spotlight in his time as chairman, and has been subject to a 'Black Balloon Campaign' which was a bid to remove him and the board from the club.
He also had a war of words with Ken Bates when the ex-Chelsea chairman tried to take over the club. The Owls Trust backed Bates in his campaign, and have lost their relationship with the club as a result, although bridges are being built. Bates of course lost interest and took over at Leeds United.
The most recent debate has has been around an amount of money that Mr Allen has said he will put in to the club to strengthen the playing squad. The £750k has never materialised and fans have questioned whether there actually is a £750k or not.
Mr Allen has divided fans opinions, but the result of this poll shows that the majority are backing him.
