Andy Welsh has been recalled by manager Carlton Palmer, and goes straght into the squad for Saturdays Cheshire derby game against Crewe. Welsh has impressed other Cheshire neighbours Macclesfield Town while on loan there, and Ex-Stockport Assistant Dave Moss was keen to keep him at the Moss Rose.

Stockport County are today (Monday) set to complete a £50,000 swoop for Yeovil Town left back Anthony Tonkin. Tonkin is due at Edgeley Park this morning to complete a medical - but the youngster is leaving behind upset officials at the Huish Park outfit.

Rob Clare has celebrated his great start to the season by getting a call up to the England Under 20's Squad for the forthcoming game against Germany. Clare, who made the under 19's squad twice last season, but never made it onto the pitch, has been overlooked by the English Staff until now.
