MONTROSE BEAT 9 MAN EAST STIRLING

So East Stirling are no longer the whipping boys of the 3rd division and reports of yesterdays game suggest that they are a much improved team. They hit the woodwork then a lucky break saw Andy Rodgers prosper in front of goal.
Teo weeks ago Montrose travelled to Hampden for a date with Queens Park and after a ricky first half were only denied all three points by a glorious 25 yarder from the home team. Rodgers had put Montrose in front via the penalty spot. He was denied a 2nd by the bar after a lob over the keeper.
So what now for Montrose. Robertson seems to have a team who are playing for each other and that can only be a good thing.
Rodgers seems to of found his shooting boots and is forming a good partnership with Michie, perhaps the new Tupper & Dibble. The defence hasnīt looked this solid since the days of Derek Grant and Mark Haro.
I have missed the past 2 games thanks to a family holiday in Spain, where I am off to see Barcelona vs Valencia this evening. Despite this I have missed watching Montrose.
