WHERE DO MONTROSE HEAD FOR NOW?

After a not to bad start against Dumbarton the game went the way our promotion hopes have gone, down the tubes. Coupled with a horrible defeat against 10 men away from home most fans will be happy to see the back of 2006.

Although with Davie Robertson still in charge does 2007 hold exactly the same as the past 12 months?

It was a shocking performance against Dumbarton, Robertson starts a game with a new formation every week and continues to play unfit players. Is it any wonder that teams are happy to come and play us.

After the 3rd goal went in against The Sons some fans, myself included left the stand and made our views known to Robertson. We pay to watch it and he gets paid to send out a team lacking in ideas its embarassing. Anyways he didn't like what he heard and bit back. Someone launched a hot dog at him and quite frankly after reading his comments in the Courier & Review week in week out its the least he deserved to get thrown at him.

Then yesterday and even with Elgin down to 10 men we couldn't put the game to bed. The trnsfer window opens tomorrow with Robertson set to wield the axe, the board have to sit up and wield the axe on the management team. We have Jimmy Lindsay who seems to be the only one shouting from the bench. Then a pile a of Robertson groupies lazing idly on the bench.

The season started full of promise but alas during the bleak winter months it turned out to be a false dawn and May can't come around soon enough.

So who is set for the axe? Chris Tawse is first on the list his sighting hae become less than those of Lord Lucan of late. Chippy Fraser has already been punted out. Word is Hugh Davidson is also prime for the cut. How about getting rid of Mercer, Stirling & Napier.

Neil Stephen is already back at the club with Kevin Webster being released by Forfar a target for the window. If Kenny Black is serious about his five year plan he has to spend big in the transfer window.
