Saturday 14ecember 2003, Scottish League Division 3, Balmoor Stadium, Peterhead. Peterhead 4 (Roddie (47), Johnston (pen 77, 90), Stewart (81) Montrose 2 (Gibson 11, 15)

Montrose tumble to ninth spot in the table with this spectacular crumble to the new league leaders.

Everything looked rosy as the Mo stormed to a deserved 2 goal lead through a fine 25 yard direct free-kick from Keith Gibson after 11 minutes and a further strike from him after 15.

However, Peterhead pulled one back thorugh Roddie after 47 minutes. Disaster struck on 77 minutes when keeper, McGlynn, was sent off after bringing down Stewart in the box. Johnston scored the penalty to level the match.

Stewart scored on 81 minutes and Johnston scored again in injury-time to confirm the turnaround.

Queen's Park defeated Albion Rovers to leapfrog Montrose, although we have a game in hand.
