NAE LUCK FOR 10 MAN MO AS BINOS NICK A POINT Montrose were boosted this morning with the news that Paul Riley and Barry Donnachie had been signed on contracts with Gregor McKechnie also coming on loan until the end of the season, all from Brechin. Kenny Munro also comes in from Cowdenbeath with Chris Webster moving in the other direction. The club and manager Sheran came in for some criticism in the press from the Supporters Trust, but there still seems to be no movement towards replacing him. The previous two matches between Albion and Montrose had both ended in 1-1 draws. Sheran elected to field three debutees from the start in an effort to find a successful combination, but Gregor McKechnie lasted all of 33 minutes when he was sent off. The red card was harsh, according to teletext, and it was going to be tough to play almost an hour a man down. However, a minute into the second half, Grant Johnston scored to put the Mo into the lead, an unfamiliar feeling this season. Almost inevitably, bearing in mind the previous results between the teams, and our luck this season, with 5 minutes to go, Stirling equalised through McLellan. East Stirling managed to beat Queen's Park 4-3 at Hampden and they gain 2 points on us. Elgin lost to East Fife so we gain a point on them before Saturdays re-arranged meeting of the clubs at Links Park.
