ROVERS BLOWN OVER

Tennents Scottish Cup First Round Replay, Saturday 29 November 2003, Cliftonhill, Coatbridge. ALBION ROVERS 1 (McQuillan OG (42)) MONTROSE 3 (Michie (60, 75), Ferguson (64))
Montrose steamrollered Rovers out of the cup at the second time of asking at a stormy Cliftonhill. Though the Rovers scored first when an unlucky John McQuillan conspired with the bar and the conditions to put through his own goal, Michie led a second half charge and secured a brace either side of a Fergie header to line up a Second Round home-tie against non-league Threave Rovers of Castle Douglas on 20 December.
The game was stormy both because of the weather, and also because Albion's Sweeney and Rovers boss Hetherston were both red-carded for dissent. And not a female official in sight!!
Surely Henry Hall must win Third Division Manager of the Month for November afer going six games undefeated?
