Bells Challenge Cup, Forst Round. Saturday 30 July 2005, Victoria Park, Dingwall. ROSS COUNTY 2 (Rankin (45), Winters (pen 59)) MONTROSE 1 (Martin (33)). Montrose miss out on a place in the next round of the diddy cup after taking the lead against their First Division opponents.

Willie Martin's opener was wiped out by a long range effort from Rankin in first half injury time, and when Elliot Smith fouled in the box just before the hour, Winters sent the Staggies through from the spot.
