NOTHING'S UP AT ELGIN

Scottish Football League Division Three, Saturday 6 August 2005, Borough Briggs, Elgin. ELGIN CITY 0 MONTROSE 0. No goals in a reportedly drab opening league fixture in the highlands. Willie Martin was suspended for this one which didn't help.

There was little cheer for any of the Angus clubs on day one. Brechin went down at home to Hamilton, Forfar were gubbed by didivison two new-boys Gretne, and Albion snatched a draw at home to A******h.

Thoughts now turn to Tuesday's CIS Cup opener at home to Graham Roberts' Clyde.
