Baggies appoint Tony Mowbray.

After talks with Hibs, West Bromwich Albion Appoint Tony Mowbray as Bryan Robsons successor. The former Ipswich, Boro and Celtic defender will take over on Wednesday.

So the position of club manager is now filled. Hibs boss Tony Mowbray has agreed to become West Broms new supremo. He will start work this coming Wednesday after he has viewed our games against Ipswich Town, and Crystal Palace. Nigel Pearson will remain in charge during these fixtures.

Talking on his appointment Tony Said,

"When the chance arose to speak to West Brom, a club steeped in great tradition, it was an opportunity I could not turn down," said Mowbray, who starts his job officially on Wednesday.

"I spoke to the board this week and the talks went very well," he added.

"I always think it's important that the fit is right when a manager joins a new club.

"And I would like to think this fit is right."

It is also belived that Mowbrays no2 Mark Venus who is in charge for the derby game Hibs v Hearts on Sunday will follow his boss to the Midlands.

So Tony Mowbrays first game in charge will be against wolves next sunday. I take this chance to welcome him to West Bromwich Albion F. C. And for obvious reasons wish him well.
