Villa could land Davies today in £9m move

Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill could complete the signing of Albion defender Curtis Davies today, according to sources. Villa completed the signing of Zat Knight from Fulham yesterday, sparking fresh allegations that O'Neill had dropped interest in Davies.

But sources at Villa Park ave revealed O'Neill still plans to swoop for the Baggies defender, completing a new look Villa defence worth £14 million.

The fee for Davies is still debatable, but looks set to be a done deal at £9 million.  Some press statements have announced the first 12 months of Davies' deal at Villa Park will be on a loan basis.
