The expected ticket rush from Albion fans to snap up the remaining 5000 Semi final clash ticket alloation was slower than expected today after being released on general sale. Through Ticketmaster the club made all remaining 5000 tickets available to any fan named on the clubs database, records which they stated go as far back as the early 1990s. Yet the rush never came.
The expected sell out never arrived, and the club announced this evening that at the end of sales at 5pm, approximately 2,800 tickets are still available for Albion's semi final fixture versus Portsmouth at Wembley a week tomorrow.
Fans have been able to purchase up to two tickets each, available to some 100,000 supporters registered on the club database, and this arrangement will remain in place as Ticketmaster prepare to sell the remaining allocation.
A reminder to all fans that the Albion online ticketing system and Club Wembley hotline are now closed, and that the only method for purchasing tickets is through calling Ticketmaster on 0844 847 2454.
All supporters will need to have their membership number and postcode to hand in order to buy tickets. Only £25 adult and £15 concession tickets remain.
