Cardiff City v West Bromwich Albion Preview

Albion could move themselves back into the automatic promotion places tonight if they come away from Ninian Park with all three points. The Baggies could move into second spot, just one point off leaders Bristol City and level on points with Stoke City, but their superior goal difference enough to push the Potters down to third.

Tony Mowbray hopes to welcome back defender Leon Barnett, who has made a quicker recovery from his hamstring injury than expected. 

Neil Clement could start for Albion in place of Bostjan Cesar who was replaced during Saturday’s 4-3 victory over Colchester United.  Clement returned from his loan spell at Hull City towards the end of last week after being recalled to cover injuries.

Luke Moore will tonight complete his three match suspension after receiving a straight red card in the Baggies 4-1 defeat to Leicester City three weeks ago.

Cardiff City manager Dave Jones hopes that Kevin McNaughton, Stephen McPhail and Aaron Ramsey will be fit to feature, whilst Warren Feeney and Trevor Sinclair could also feature.

Cardiff will be without Robbie Fowler who remains sidelined, and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink who also serves the final match of a ban.
