Baggies to make Bednar move permanent

West Bromwich Albion have revealed to day that they will definitely be taking the option to buy on loan striker Roman Bednar over the summer. Bednar arrived at the Hawthorns last summer from Scottish side Hearts, on a one year loan spell. But the striker has enjoyed huge success with the Baggies, and gaffer Tony Mowbray has assured the 26 year old striker that his future is at Albion.

West Brom secured an option to buy Roman Bednar during the January transfer window.

But today, giving Bednar a huge confidence boost before tomorrow's FA Cup clash at Wembley, the club revealed that they will definitely be exercising that option during close season.

Bednar will cost the baggies £2 million, but having scored 17 goals for the Baggies in 28 appearances, surpassing Ishmael Miller as the clubs second highest goal scorer behind Kevin Phillips, he already looks worth every penny of investment.
