Why Wembley is a Stadium to be proud of.

Its been a long time in the making Wembley, there were times I'm sure when we all questioned whether the home of English football would ever be ready. But finally, the Stadium completed, a little over 12 months ago now, the vain trembling chorus 'Que Sera sera' began to ring out across football stadiums once again, and now the benchmark of Albion's real success can be seen in 2 visits in a year.

The traditional walk along Wembley Way has long been the desire of all football fans throughout the country.  A vast see of your clubs colours, displayed in shirts, scarves and flags.  The air of excitment and expectation gripping at your lungs.

Now the national stadium itself matches that magical feeling.  The structure is simply breath taking.  This is of course personal opinion, but nonetheless I struggle to see how anyone ccould fail to be at least a little amazed at the sight of Wembley these days.

I inagine the look on my face as I left the exit of Wembley Park tube station behind me was akin to the look I once saw on my brothers face when he first went to Disney World at the age of 5.  This is any football fans play pen, and now, 48 hours later I'm still struggling to fins the words.

Inside the stadium is every inch as impressive as it is on the outside.  Even the toilets are posh for a football ground - at least the ladies are.  I was suprised at how good my view was considering how high up we were.

What was less impressive was that there was not a programme insight until we got into the stadium, and then there was a queue that really was similar to the kind of thing one might expect to see at Disney.  The queues for food and drink were good though, although I can't help but think that the prices had a fair amount to do with this.

A pint cost £3.50, and chilly hotdogs and cheesy nachos came at an individual cost of over £6.  Most alarmingly the 'deals' offered a Pie and a Pint for 'just' £7.  Poor old Jez Moxey would have encountered some serious palpatations!

But overall, I was impressed.  My ticket cost me £25.  Cheaper than an afternoon at the Hawthorns and Molineux (in most seats) so can't grumble there.
