Albion on-loan striker Roman Bednar looks set to sign a contract to keep him at the Hawthorns permanently before the end of May. Payment terms between Albion and Hearts were actually agreed in Summer, with the Baggies knowing that the agreed Championship set price was set to rise should they win promotion.
The agreed figure is said to be somewhere in the region of £2.5 million, and Bednar is expected to sign a three year deal.
Discussions are said to be ongoing between the club and Bednar - who is reportedly not entirely happy with the deal being offered to him now that Albion are a Premier League club. But the striker, second highest scorer behind Kevin Phillips is expected to sign as planned before May is out.
