Manchester United v West Brom - Preview

After the international break last weekend, West Bromwich Albion will be hoping that their recent form of back to back victories in the Premiership will at least show Manchester United that they mean business. There is no disputing that this away fixture at Old Trafford will be no walk in the park for Mowbray's men, but it's unlikely the Baggies travel with anything to fear.

Despite worries of a longer term injury, midfielder Chris Brunt is available for selection this afternoon.  He has overcome his hamstring strain in time to offer Mowbray options in the middle.

Long term injury Filipe Teixeira on the other hand remains sidelined despite hopes that he could make his first appearance for the Baggies in over 7 months this afternoon.  Having recovered from his knee ligament damage, the midfielder sits this one out with a calf strain he picked up during training this week.

Manchester United on the other hand will be without Michael Carrick and Owen Hargreaves, who are sidelined with ankle and knee injuries respectively.

Ryan Giggs is likely to start for United, but both Tevez and Anderson will undergo last minute checks after returning only recently from their international duty.
