Door open for Cech to make Baggies exit

Baggies boss Tony Mowbray has revealed that he will not stand in the way of Marek Cech if he decides he wants to quit the Hawthorns. Signed from Porto over the summer, the £1.4 million Slovakian left back has made noises that he is unsettled at West Brom, and frustrated at the lack of opportunities he has been given to establish himself in the first team.

Cech signalled to local newspaper The Express and Star a fortnight ago that he was unhappy at the Hawthorns, but made a swift u-turn after being given the opportunity in the starting eleven during Paul Robinson's suspension, claiming that his words had been lost in translation.

But the former Porto star, who in the past has been accustomed to Champions League football, was dropped in favour of Paul Robinson once his suspension period had come to an end.  Clearly dismayed at this after two solid performances in the first team, Cech has sounded out the possibility of a move away from the Hawthorns during the current transfer window. 

A move for Cech is likely to come as a huge disappointment to fans, who themselves have expressed concern over recent performances from his competition at left back, Paul Robinson.

But Mowbray was defiant in his words, claiming that he has not displaced Robinson because of the former Captain's steady performance level this season.  Whilst no rumours of links to other clubs have arisen, Mowbray has stated that he will not stand in the way of Cech if he wants to leave, providing it is in the clubs best interest.

He finished by saying that he 'felt' for the International, but gave no hints as to whether the 25 year old has a future with Albion or not.
