Mowbray pulls loan move U-turn

Albion gaffer Tony Mowbray has pulled a U-turn this afternoon on loan movements from his squad. Without naming names, the boss revealed that the possibility of some of his current squad being shipped out on loan has now been stopped, as a mounting injury list means they could be called into action for the Baggies.

Mowbray expressed that several loan moves could have been in the pipe line in order to facilitate those who have not had the opportunity to get regular first team action at Albion this season.

But with Luke Moore and Leon Barnett joining those in the treatment room during the course of Saturday’s 3-0 victory over Middlesbrough, Mowbray now has 8 full time squad members unavailable for selection.

With one exception it is thought that Jared Hodgkiss, who only returned from a loan placement at Aberdeen last week, could be allowed to take up another loan move.  But any planned moves for first team fringe players have now been blocked by the club.
