Out of favour defender Marek Cech insists that he is in the right frame of mind to make his first Premiership start in over four months tomorrow, despite having his labelled his season at the Hawthorns as ‘the worst of his life’. Cech looks favourite to start in place of the injured Paul Robinson tomorrow as the Baggies travel to Wigan Athletic.

The 25 year old defender moved from Porto in the summer for a fee of £1.4million, but opportunities to impress at the Hawthorns have been limited with the Slovakian International sidelined behind first team regular Paul Robinson.

An ankle injury keeps Robbo sidelined for saturday's clash at the JJB Stadium, and Cech insists he is in the right mental frame of mind to step in as his replacement.  It will be his first Premier League start since December.  But today he labelled his year with West Brom as ‘the worst in his life’ and insists that tensions between himself and the management have limited his opportunities, not his playing ability.  Cech still looks set to exit the Hawthorns this summer.
