A win this afternoon for Di Matteo's men could see them move back to the top of the Championship table, although all eyes will be on Newcastle United's fixture with Swansea to ensure that is possible. Albion's star man Chris Brunt returns to his former club Sheffield Wednesday with 5 goals already in the bag for the Baggies. Brunt left the Owls in 2007 for £3 million.

West Brom look set to be without five squad members this afternoon - Robert Koren must see a specialist regarding a hernia problem, and both Jerome Thomas and Filipe Teixeira are doubts with back and thigh injuries respectively.

Joe Mattock is still struggling with a foot injury and defender Shelton Martis looks set to miss out as he has been suffering with flu symptoms.

Sheffield Wednesday will definately be without midfielder Tommy Miller who has failed to over come a hamstring injury in time for this afternoon's fixture.

New loan signings Tom Soares and Warren Feeney are expected to go straight into the squad.

The home side Sheffield Wednesday have taken just 2 points from the last 5 games, whilst the Baggies have won their last three - securing 13 points from the last 6 games.  In fact the average of 2 points per game (34 points from 17 played) is West Brom's best in the last 6 years.  Only Swansea City are above the Baggies in the current form table.
