Romanian defender on the way in January?

West Bromwich Albion could be lining up a possible move to bring Gabriel Sebastian Tamas to the Hawthorns during the January transfer window. With news from the club today that the transfer kitty is empty it looks like the Baggies will not be investing in the 26 year old defender without a period of loan first.

Tamas is believed to be one of the main interests on gaffer Di Matteo's list, and news today that he has been transfer lisited by French club Auxerre has increased speculation that a January move to the Hawthorns could be on the cards.

The former U21 Romanian Captain could be seen by Di Matteo as a key part to bolstering Albion's defence for the run in to the end of the season.
