Albion get home tie in 4th round draw

West Bromwich Albion have been given a home tie against Plymouth Argyle or Newcastle United in the 4th round of the FA Cup. The draw, which took place just after 6pm today, saw Albion pulled out as the home team before Baggies fan Frank Skinner drew Plymouth or Newcastle as their opposition.

West Brom secured their place in the 4th round with a 2-0 win at Huddersfield yesterday afternoon.

They are now guaranteed Championship opposition for the 4th round, but will have to wait until Wednesday 13th January to find out which side will make the journey to the Hawthorns, as the two teams replay after yesterday's stalemate at Plymouth.

With the home advantage and being top of the Championship Newcastle United are likely to be the favourites to face West Brom in the next round. But there can be no guarantees in this competition, as proved this afternoon with Leeds United's victory at Old Trafford.

4th round ties will take place on the weekend of the 23-24th January. Date and time yet to be confirmed.
