Baggiesworld Preview: West Brom v Blackpool

West Bromwich Albion take on play off chasing Blackpool at the Hawthorns this afternoon needing at least a point to ensure they keep that second automatic promotion spot. Nottingham Forest sit just two points behind the Baggies in third spot - they travel to mid table Preston this afternoon.

West Brom look certain to be without striker Roman Bedner and winger Jerome Thomas as they continue to over come groin and leg injuries respectively.

In better news for the Baggies long term absentee James Morrison could make an appearance in the starting line up this afternoon after finally overcoming the heel injury which kept him sidelined.

For Blackpool defender Ian Evatt will miss out after failing to recover from an ankle injury, likewise for defender Stephen Crainey, who misses out because of a knee injury.  Winger Hameur Bouazza will also miss Blackpool's trip to West Brom following a groin problem.

The Baggies remain the Championship's top scorers, and the Tangerines - who could make the playoffs this afternoon if currently 6th placed Cardiff fail to get anything at Leicester; will have to work hard to get all three points from the Baggies, who have won their last four consecutive home fixtures.  Blackpool last won at the Hawthorns in 1964.

In comparison Blackpool have not won in their last five away games and have failed to even score in their last three away trips.
