West Bromwich Albion winger Chris Brunt is unlikely to be fit in time to face Everton this weekend according Baggies gaffer Roberto Di Matteo.  The star man, who has been highly influential for Albion during the opening fixtures of the season, returned from International duty with Northern Ireland with a groin strain.

Brunt has already missed one game - the 3-0 defeat to Stoke at the Hawthorns two days ago, and looks unlikely to make a full recovery in time for Albions visit to Goodison Park this forthcoming weekend.

Di Matteo and his team will try their best to get Brunt fit in time for the Premiership clash with Everton.  The West Brom gaffer believes him to be an influential and integral part of the first team - commenting that one of the things they needed to focus on this week was eliminating the small errors which have cost them big in recent games; The return of Brunt is essential to overcoming such errors.

Di Matteo believes it is his job this week to lift all of his players this week, at a time when he believes morale has dropped.  Getting Brunty fit in time for the weekend could be an important part of that process, with the Albion boss labelling him simply as 'an important player for us'.
